“LOOKING FOR THE NEXT BEST THING”

Below is a new official theme song for anyone who has attempted to “work” on any “civic” project in Molalla. I suggest the “civic” leaders get “them there” bands tuned up to start playing this at every “event” in Molalla, starting with the 4th of July parade. Instead of the Pledge of Allegiance, I think it should be recited at every City Council meeting, too.

In the mean time, TEAM, the “Positive Thinking middle school campaign”, and the “Molalla is growing” plannin’ bozos better be letter perfect for their next meetins’! And be sure to sing this at the coming Town Hall – previous posts on another site have been censored by the free speech haters among us so I will again say:

It’s INSANE that a Town Hall could be announced at City Council and the Councilors didn’t know what the Town Hall city charter change proposal will be – or were they just pretending not to know? Either way it is INSANE and an ABUSE of the public’s need to know. And again, feel free to place your bets about what this “we’re in the dark” Town Hall will be about. We had a spirited exchange about this mystery going on in print until a community member turned CHICKEN.

I am betting the Town Hall charter change will be for Clarke to propose that he crown himself KING OF MOLALLA for a longer period of time – because he is so clueless that he can’t get a thing done in his REGULAR LEGAL TERM OF OFFICE.  It’s not that he could ever get anything concrete done in a longer term of office, either, since he is just a local yokel, head in the sand, ego maniac like the rest of the “council” – “leaders” who never venture out into the big, scary, real world of ideas and who lack ethics are bound to fail.

If only everyone could have seen King Clarke’s temper tantrum when he “accepted” his plaque for “service” after being rejected for the post of city manager – boy, oh boy, someone should run THAT City Council video tape next election. It’s lucky Clarke’s head didn’t explode, he was so angry about not being chosen city manager! With all those years in grade school under his belt, you wonder why how he missed the lessons on good “sportsmanship”? I guess maybe the town should crown him for life so we never have to be “treated” to  another Clarke sore loser performance like that again!

Clarke’s “I built houses” record stinks, and his code of silence shows his is trying to be a dictator, not a leader who promotes public debate. Clarke is a faith-based loser, and he is likely a’ feard of a’ runnin’ on his gettin’ nowhere /rollin’ downhill into oblivion record. Faith-based anything these days takes you right to the bottom of the pack – right were laughin’ stock City of Molalla is already a’ sittin’.

Here’s what Clarke will say at Town Hall: “If’in youse a lookin’ for someone to lead the City of Molalla backwards to them dark ages even further than it is already a’ goin’, youse a’ needs to gets youseselves KING CLARKE for a longer term of office!”

I’ve been to the “work hard, but not for the money” bogus Molalla “civic”meetins’ here – I’m far beyond “looking for the next best” anything if it has the name “City of Molalla” attached to it – because the real theme song should be “SINKING FAST”. My theme song is “I saw the light long ago and reality isn’t allowed inside the Molalla City limits”.

Stay tuned for a coming discussion of the NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN “official” Parks Plan: talk about the need for REALITY CHECKS! That “plan” is all about NO SDCs = NO PARKS.

Here’s the new Molalla theme song, folks – I like the “you’ll have to come around eventually” line a lot – it speaks to the naive “positive thinkers” here. Check out my hero (NOT a positive thinker!) Warren Zevon singing this on the web, it’s catchy, you should put it on your cell phone! You’ll find it running through your head every time you hear about “positive thinking school bond committees, parks, plannin’, TEAM/Mainstreet and progress” in Molalla:

LOOKING FOR THE NEXT BEST THING

written by Kenny Edwards, LeRoy P. Marinell, and Warren Zevon
1982 Tiny Tunes ASCAP Valgovind Music & Zevon Music BMI

I worked hard, but not for the money
Did my best to please
I used to think it was funny
‘Til I realized it was just a tease

Don Quixote had his windmills
Ponce de Leon took his cruise
Took Sinbad seven voyages
To see that it was all a ruse

(That’s why I’m) Looking for the next best thing
Looking for the next best thing
I appreciate the best
But I’m settling for less
‘Cause I’m looking for the next best thing

Looking for the next best thing

All alone on the road to perfection
At the inspection booth they tried to discourage me
You can believe what you want–that’ll never change it
You’ll have to come around eventually

(And you’ll be) Looking for the next best thing
Looking for the next best thing
I appreciate the best
But I’m settling for less
‘Cause I’m looking for the next best thing

Looking for the next best thing
I’m looking for the next best thing

“censored by the free speech haters” — more like putting a mussle on a broken record.

Or more like the “broken record” happens because the side with all the power and money NEVER MOVES OFF THE DIME – as in VERSION 8 Ground Hog Day Comp Plan or in “here comes yet another bond measure in a town that always votes NO” or in here comes another decade of TEAM’s “Molalla is on the move” baloney. Maybe it takes a broken record to get the point across? I wonder why NOTHING EVER CHANGES HERE? I wonder why the same old tired “cloud nine” ridiculous “wants” never come true? I wonder why we get censored – does it hit too close to home?

I wonder why people choke when they hear “think positive” when the GREAT RECESSION is acknowledged by every place on the planet except Molalla?

I wonder why the only “acceptable” discussion site for free speech haters is supposed to be idiotic “I love Molalla” on Facebook – the site for people who can’t write more than 2 sentences?

The answer couldn’t be that people can’t stand to hear the truth, could it?
